In a fog-shrouded enclave, a young man and a reluctant teacher begin to notice strange fractures in time; gestures caught midair, songs repeating, names slipping away. As the haze thickens, buried traces of colonial violence and a dictatorial experiment in engineered amnesia begin to surface, unravelling the world around them, piece by piece.
By fusing political terror with supernatural and science-fiction elements, the village of Tanah Runcuk holds a cracked mirror of a traumatic past. The village's collective amnesia is a haunting metaphor for the nation's repressed histories and open wounds.
