For almost 80 years, the name Locarno has been associated with cutting-edge cinema and some of the biggest stars of the industry. Aimed at the general public and cinephiles alike, its program combines the best of national and international filmmaking. At its heart is the magnificent Piazza Grande, Europe's largest open-air cinema with thousands of seats.
