The Locarno Film Festival promotes media literacy by bringing the skills and insights of the film industry into schools in Ticino. How? By inviting classes to the cinema—a valuable opportunity for collective and engaged viewing, where students can ask questions and share thoughts directly with the filmmakers.
The Giornata del Cinema program features a morning film screening, followed by afternoon activities that allow students to explore various aspects of the audiovisual world. Experiences offered include sound design, editing, image construction, and developing stories for the screen.
