The application process ended on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 (14:00 CET)

The selection process will close on January 30, 2026. By that date, all applicants will receive an e-mail informing them of the success or failure of their application. 

Successful applicants are required to confirm their intention to participate by the deadline indicated in the email indicating their selection. By confirming their participation, the selected filmmakers accept the obligation to pay the participation fee by February 6, 2026.

The organizers reserve the right to replace selected candidates who do not confirm their participation or do not make payment by the deadline. 

The participation fee of CHF 1,800 includes:

• the workshop with tutoring by Ramon and Silvan Zürcher;
• the provision by CISA of the necessary technical equipment and logistical support;
• advice on location and casting (for fiction subjects) from the Ticino Film Commission;
• accommodation in a shared room from 1 (check-in) to 9 March (check-out);
• lunch and dinner from 1 to 8 March (the next day will be the departure day);
• accreditation for the 78th Locarno Film Festival (5-15 August, 2026);
• lodging for ten nights, 5-15 August, 2026, at BaseCamp (eight-bed dorms with shared bathrooms)

The participation fee does not include:

• travel arrangements and costs to and from Locarno;
• alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and any other extras not included in the lunch and dinner menu.
