An elementary school sports day gets out of hand. A harmless argument between two children ends in death threats between the two fathers. The collective overload shakes an entire society and unfolds into a microcosm of chaos. Cause and effect of violence echo in a fragile social construct. A distant view of the everyday.
The short film, which was shown in Clermont-Ferrand earlier this year, is characterized by its bold camera work. The overhead shot allows a distanced, almost objectified view of the events. The film shows how a banal conflict - a children's quarrel - escalates. The camera does not see from the subjective point of view of a character, but from a kind of social-analytical perspective.

Hanka visits her lonely grandfather, Bobek. For her, it becomes a journey into the past, while for him, it's a confrontation with his life. At the dinner table, they open jars of preserves from earlier times. While they eat the fruits of past times, Bobek tells the stories of his lost love. He confesses about his mistakes, which led to him breaking his ex-girlfriend’s heart. The next day, Hanka helps Bobek prepare apple jam. After she leaves, Bobek is left with no choice but to finish the jam by himself.
