Bethlehem Tesfu Estifanos is a public health advocate and the Festival Coordinator of the Addis International Film Festival, one of East Africa’s most impactful platforms for human rights cinema. She is pursuing her Master’s degree at Wageningen University in the Netherlands and serves as a member of the European Union Youth Sounding Board, where she advises on youth inclusion in international development. With a background in art, advocacy, and social innovation, she works at the intersection of cinema, public health, and community engagement. Her work spans NGOs, grassroots movements, and international forums, where she champions gender equality, youth empowerment, and access to healthcare. Bethlehem is passionate about creating inclusive storytelling ecosystems and believes in the power of film to drive sustainable social change across Africa and beyond.
