The full program will be revealed during the press conference for the 78th edition of the Locarno Film Festival in July. In the meantime, here are a few dates to mark on your calendar:
- While waiting for the Festival, on Thursday, July 17: screening of the film The Wild Robot at the Lido di Locarno, in collaboration with TCS – TCS Solar Cinema, a zero-emissions sustainable screening initiative. For info and reservations.
- Sunday, August 3: Free Prefestival screening in Piazza Grande, presented by La Mobiliare, with a film suitable for all ages.
- Wednesday, August 6: A special film screening accompanied by live music performed by the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana (OSI).
- From Friday, August 8 to Saturday, August 16: A new Locarno Kids Screenings film every day. If you participate in at least one workshop from the Locarno Kids program, you'll receive a pass that grants you free access to all screenings in the section. Just remember: reservations are always required.
- The pass will be handed out right before the workshop, but you can also pick it up at the Info Point Coop (open from August 6th, 8.30 AM - 10 PM) when the Festival begins, so you don't miss a single film.
- Tuesday, August 13: Presentation of the Locarno Kids Award La Mobiliare in Piazza Grande.
